Physiotherapy 4 Life is committed to high standards of information security, privacy and transparency. In order to comply with applicable GDPR, this privacy policy sets out how Physiotherapy 4 Life uses and protects any information that you give us through the website, in emails and during assessment and treatment. Helen Boyle is the named Data Protection officer for Physiotherapy 4 Life.


Reasons/purposes for processing information

We process personal information to enable us to provide health services to our patients, to maintain our accounts and records, promote our services and to support and manage our employees.


Physiotherapy 4 Life  is committed to ensuring that your privacy is protected. Should we ask you to provide certain information by which you can be identified when using this website and in consultations, then you can be assured that it will only be used in accordance with this privacy statement.


What information do we collect and how?

Our Physiotherapists may collect the following information when you contact us and have a Physiotherapy Assessment/treatment or attend a Physio led Pilates class.

•name and job title/occupation

•contact information including telephone number and email address

•demographic information such as postcode, preferences and interests, family details

•the name and contact details of your GP or other medical provider

•medical insurance details where applicable

•other information relevant to customer surveys and/or offers

We process sensitive classes of information with reagrd to your physical and mental health.

We have legal obligation to maintain your medical records for 8 years if an adult and 8 years after turning 18 if you are a child. We will however, maintain your records in a safe and secure way for an undefined period to ensure ongoing Physiotherapy care unless you make a request for your records to be destroyed in an appropriate manner after the 8 years has passed.


Why do we gather your information and what we do with it?

We require this information to understand your needs and provide you with a better service, and in particular for the following reasons:

•Internal record keeping.

•We may use the information to improve our products and services.

•We may periodically send promotional emails about new products, special offers or other information which we think you may find interesting using the email address which you have provided.

•From time to time, we may also use your information to contact you for market research purposes. We may contact you by email, phone, fax or mail. We may use the information to customise the website according to your interests.

Who is your information shared with?

•We may need to share your information with another Health Care Professional, with your consent.

•We may also need to share information with Private health care providers/insurers or with commercial intermediaries.



We are committed to ensuring that your information is secure. In order to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure, we have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online and in face to face consultations. If there were to be a data breach our notification process and procedure would come in to place.


Controlling your personal information

•whenever you are asked to fill in a form, look for the box that you can click to indicate that you do not want the information to be used by anybody for direct marketing purposes

We will not sell, distribute or lease your personal information to third parties unless required by law to do so.
